Started life as a bog stocker ZR1100 in snot green.
Coming together quiet fast now.
Took it outside to turn it around ready to paint other side of engine, so I thought to share some photos with you :)
Got the 4 into 1 polished stainless zorst, just need the conical filters and jet kit.
Amazing what a bit of love and tlc can do... ;)
Ready to roll soon !!!

Using VHT engine/manifold paint. Sposed to be good up to 500 degC, we will see how long it sticks ?

Its steady 93 bhp as standard, but with the new 4 into 1 I`ve got, plus theres a firm in Aus who do conical filters specially for the Zeph and jet kits too, that hikes it up around 110 to 120 bhp.

Lovely bike on the road, it feels really retro and yet handles and stops better than the 70s versions [8D]

I even got new Avon Storms for it..

As I've said before I alway though as stock the 750
had much better lines, more classic Zed style, shame
the 750 had very small balls. The 11 was a much more
fun !
...but your 11 I do like....[8D]

Very good..[8D]

and i must say it looks the goods, very nice rebuild
i really like the ballels done like that ,its close 2 what i was thinking of doing with mine
if i keep the zephyr donk (been thinking of a gsx 1400 motor)
any way just like 2 say great job and if mine turns out 1/2 as nice ill be happy

Thanks Dave :)

It corners exceptionally well for an old design, no way near modern superbike standards, but 1/2 them guys can`t ride them right anyway.
Its a very relaxed riding style, it sits perfectly happy at 90/100mph on the big open road.

I will say its stil a big ole dinosaur and you have to hussle it and muscle it to make it go fast ;) but thats part the fun.

Comparing it to my blown Busa on the same road.... the Busa is harder work for the same speeds. The Busa only comes in better above the ton.
I did make one significant improvement by removing the OE 70s style handlebars [xx(] They are all wrong angles for me, the grips are splayed upwards and outwards ???.... wasnt a natural stance.
So I fitted some slightly wider and straighter Renthal bars which is spot on now !

With brand new Avon Storms on it, its gonna be a cracker !! [:p]

Nice one ozzy ;) Zeph zone is a nice place too.
Appreciate the pos feedback, if I can motivate a few others to get theres done or even started !! lol That would be cool...

GSX14 lump !!! Hell yeah !! [:p][:p][:p]

The Zeph barrels are easy to do up.... except the front which is a bit messy to get access to.
I`m leaving the rocker cover silver, I intended to paint it black but it looks better left as is.

I think me having the time to do this is the main factor, well.. plus I really enjoy tatting around with bikes :D

i dont know if u just havnt fitted it yet but the grab rail on the 1100s make the tail look more stupy
wicth i think suits the the tank and bike better not so long like the zr 750 but all this is jsut my opinon lol

Hear what you say ;)
My lady likes the pillion on this bike better than the Busa.

But.... the grab rail hits her coxics (spelling?~) and that aint cool with her spinal injuries.
It fucking hurts in other words ! lol lol

She loves pillion on the Zeph because its such a smooth bike.
She doesnt like pillion on the Busa because she says I ride like a complete twat on that..... [:p][:p][:p]

Do`nt know WHAT she means :D
