Been toying with the idea of buying this

http://www.motorcycledisposals.com.au/Bikes/Bikes%20Pages/5275R%20GSF1250S/5275R%20GSF1250S.htm

To put the motor and a few other bits in the Kat.

Anyone forsee any major issues ?

Im thinking the fuel injection setup fitting in the frame will prolly be the biggest one.. but Im prepared to get a custom airbox built if needed.. better than the shitty plastic one anyway.

Other than that Im thinking header positions on the Kat frame could be another difficulty.

What else should I consider ?

noting... just do it!! play as you go, mounts are easy to make, chop, section and re-weld the frame if needed, the efi wont be much larger then the carb set up it replaces..... set of pods instead of an airbox.

Why would you want to use a water-cooled Bandit engine?

Well I would like a Bandit motor and frankly Id prefer an oily but when I saw that one I figured why not... and I reckon I can get a few sheckles back on the rest of the bike as parts...should be a cheap experiment basically.

Yeah Im not in any hurry so I may stick around coz that site has ceahp Bandits quite often... also I rode one of those when they came out and I wasnt blown away by the power... had my bandit at the time... so nothing felt particulalry powerful after that monster :D

yeah, unless you can figure a way to get a custom radiator under the seat (HOTT!!)
i would stick to a more classic sort of motor

Have HANLON RACE ENGINES here in Adelaide build a motor for your kat. The problem is not how much HP you want but how much $$$ you have to spend!!!!
