Sad to read the bandit has gone liquid cooled and injected for 2007. The oil cooled motor has been tops and traces its roots back to the mid 80's. A big shame suzuki is dropping the old oiled cooled..

Atleast it looks like Suzuki have produced one of the tidiest watercooled motors i have seen in a long time should make a good base for watercooled fighter unlike many others which are just pig fuggin ugly co's they were never meant to be seen.

The air/oil cooled motor still lives in the gsx1400 it just styled on the outside to look like the original gsx engines or it was the last time i delved into it's specs.

Looks like a newly styled w/cooled gsxr11 motor.

still running the cam chain in the center

Wonder how close the cylinder spacings will be. could be a good donor for an injection set up

Emissions, Emissions, Emissions...
Water cooling and injection are a byproduct
Wish they'd kept the friggin fins on the CB13 engine though
I reckon they'll sell a few of the Bandits too... engine looks ok to me

I reckon it looks alright. For emmisions EFI and liquid cooling are the go, so if you gotta have em... Anyways, the best EFI bikes I have ridden are the modern Gixxars (600/750/1000), all a great, perfect throttle response, clean injection everywhere. So if they get this new Bandit like that, should be good!

I seem to remember posts on this forum a while back where i bet
Suzuki would kill off the last of the Carb'd / air-oil cooled motors
in the near future (and NOT just use the 1400's injection)
It shouldnt come as a shock. Why do you think Hardley Dangerous are pushing the V-Rod / Night Rod so much. Soon it will be hard to find a non-injected non-liquid cooled bike in the showrooms. Most manufacturers spec to the strictest mass market, USA and EU.

Shame. The air/oil cooled gixxer/Bandit motor was a bloody gem,
Then again I remember the end of the Air-cooled 1135's with the
same feelings.

Its kind of a shame because the traditional big inline 4 oil cooler is all but gone now. But Im not too sad because after riding quite a few 2002 and onwards injected bikes in the last few years I have to say its hard to replicate the response and power delivery on a carbed engine without blowing a fortune.

You cant beat the feel and sound of the older motros for sure, but the new performance is like a drug lol ;)
