B-King comes out as being...

Faster over the Quarter,
Quicker over the Quarter,
Quicker in top gear roll-on's,
and uses less fuel to do it.....
(and thats before you look at the cost or try going round a corner)

V-Max's minor horsepower and torque advantage are killed by being 124lb's heavier,
and the extra 7" in length that spoil the corners didnt help it on the strip.

For a Butt ugly Naked bike that didnt sell well,
and looks like being dropped from the US market,
The B-Kings still the benchmark for Performance Nakeds.

And why do you need that much HP on the road? http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/9475480018190.gif

kinda figured there would be more in it as far as power specs but shit the max is a bus in the weight stakes

I was suprise that the B-King even with its lower torque
figure than the V-Max, and producing it at higher rev's
than the V-Max, STILL win's in Top Gear roll-on's.

96kph to 128kph in 2.49 seconds,
when its well below its peak figures found at higher rev's.

After being nagged last year by my local Suzuki dealer to take the B.King out for the day I did.

Its a very "together" and balanced motorcycle and not the overweight/overpowered tub o`lard I was expecting.
Its amazingly bland, but has huge roll on power and that power is delivered so smoothly it feels gentle.
Sat at 80mph on the open road, hit the throttle and your pushing thro 130mph in no time.. [u]rock steady</u> !
Never ridden a naked bike so relaxed at ton plus speeds.

I wouldt have a B.King for myself, not my cuppa, but a big chunk of fun none the less :D
A great base for a mental fighter.

rock hard

Hey Toni,i was very impressed with the B King. working on bikes as my trade i am lucky enough to get to test ride a many different styles and makes of bikes on the same test route on a daily basis which besides being a lot of fun, makes for interesting comparisons.firstly just the way bikes steer.some bikes feel like "beached as bro" as in a big whale.others feel light and sharp.occasionly i think "i could own one of these" but Hagarr wanted his back..i still want to ride the new max.

One thing I noticed also was the smaller fuel tank

The only disappointing thing about the King.

They are both seem way under-powered for my liking!!! haha.. then I dont have a licence right now either.... I would like to super-charge a V-max...

off on a tangent...

I just got back from a quick ride in the scrub on my 12hp 83 XR, the first prolink..... Its the first bike ive ridden in ages that I can hold pinned in every gear, everywhere.... quite fun... ( the tyres are bald and have been on her for 12 years!!!!)

Are you sure the V-Max isn't just too heavy Pete ?
Now if you and Ben had a nice little XV250 frame....;)
