If I was to lets say buy a Katana 750, with Waltari's build in mind... Would I be able to make a Bandit 1200 engine fit in or am I best looking for a Katana 1100..

If you're talking 1st gen 750 Kat (not the pop-up), the only difference to the 1100 Kat frame is the bottom engine mounts (the 1100 mounts are a bit further forward).
But if you're going to fit a Bandit / GSXR motor, you'll have to make new engine mounts anyway so either frame will be OK.

I was talking the Non-popup version thats similar to the 1100 shape. There was one on ebay way down south but had to take one of my tribe to hospital so missed out on bidding :(
Will keep my eye out...
