I heard oz day, monday 26th is only a PUBlic holiday for act and wa ......... anyone heard that or otherwise ? . i heard it on the news today( gold 104).

I too have heard that the Useless Labor party have canned Oz day as a pubic holiday here in Qld too. No long weekend for Qld or something similar to that a while ago. Hadnt given it much thought cause I'll be off fishing anyway.

I'm pretty sure it's a publis holiday here in vic Doc, my work calender says it is. For the record the 27th is an RDO for me too.

Yeah.... I am takin the fucker anyway, its confusion weekend. But goin by the news it says ya cann all go get rooted. Only act and wa have it off. My calendar says its a hol as well. but i reckon it be pretty hard to recall all the calendars in australia and change em....... I await more news.......

That might just be enough to start the Australian Civil War.

Anzac day is a memorial day, so should be celebrated (mourned?) on the day it falls. Any public holiday it incurs is a bonus. Saying that, I expect to have an extra day off just like we always do:)

It would be un-Australian not to have a national day celebrating the shooting of middle eastern nations :D

u guys here have it right anzac days a must those blokes laid there life down so that we could argue over it ,im disgusted that the uk doesnt honor its fallen like that
