the back wheel is cracked so thought it might be a good idea to change it.

i guess the question should have been is there any benifit from it? :D

what would one expect to pay for a good complete front end? cant find many around atm other than the states. dont want to go to the expense of shipping one over here.

i guess its jsut a matter of waiting for the right deal

i have just scored my front end after 8-9 months of searching mate and the only reason i got one is cos kevkatana emailed me the link for it (cheers Kev) so yeah either try the states or just keep a good eye on ebay and even try posting up wanted ads around the net mate

I scored my Busa front end from www.oztion.com.au got it for $400 but had to replace seals. 6 pot calipers same place for $150. Polished front wheel from Vic bike wreckers for $300 GSXR1000 front fender from Raceway Suzuki for a slab and discs from Ebay. Gotta shop around and be cheeky. If you don't ask you won't get. A lot of small bike shops do mods and have piles of small parts thrown in the corner, easy deals to be made.

Not just the small shops mate. I scored an 05-09 R1 front wheel (minor graze that powder coat will hide) for $150 from a Teammoto Yam dealer..they have stuff that has minor damage that has to be replaced under insurance....they flog the bits off for beer money
