Much better.

Can someone fill me in on what's the difference with the limited edition? I know they're the holy grail of slabbies but not why

The Mad One

I bought the 1100[8D] & i promised to not f@ck with it.
Ok the LTD was the first of two 'rr' version`s that suzuki released.Homogolised at 500 production unit`s they were about the best thing you could buy from the factory[:p] less of a name on ya back.Hand built with the advice of 'pop`s' himself they had 'yosh' internals, special rods, carb`s,dry clutch & were as my recall has it 3kg lighter than the 85 XR [}:)] stands today as a very special bike.
1988 GSX-R 750 rk is even more collectable [:p] go to suzuki.org.

basically they got billet alloy where others had plactic, Magnesium cases while others where cast alloy, Dry clutch, big Cams, Lots of pre released 1100 running gear like forks and tank, Special colour, Single seat only, close ratio gearbox, Showa suspension, big brakes. The RG Limited never had any yoshy in it to the best of my knowledge, but man it will eat a standard gsxr750 for breakfast both in a straight line and corners.

All of the above & then they set up a Yoshi factory in USA to build the 'tornado'(750) & 'cyclone'(1100)[8D]this created an opportunity to build larger capacity, full 'yosh' engine`s & ship them back to race in japan under a loophole of manufacture origin[:0]
Rods & cams were 'yosh' in LTD 86 (i think)either way they are what they is [^]special race replica`s

Yea the tornado was a Yoshi build in both 750 and 1100, not Suzuki, though I reckon Suzuki would have had a say in it. Splitting hairs but we never saw any of these in Australia. The original international colour was Blue/white/red like mine, the japs did a Yoshi colour scheme Silver and red, though they were identical bikes.

Japaneese Yoshi replica colour scheme, both these bikes are identical except for paint.

The Tornado was hardy a road bike.

GSXR750RK - Standard they were similar to the RG however these also came with the factory race kit, Cams, Clutch,
http://www.networkz.com.au/RK.jpg

This was also a very limited run bike, Not a limited Edition, but rare in numbers.

Well the bike is in transit & i recieved some documentation today that applies to the slab.Original sale`s brochure, owners manual, spare key(not used)& workshop manual(each page in plastic sheet)not a finger print on any ofit[:0][^]:D:DI will erect a plynth to house paperwork & it will live next to the bike in longeroom[:I] This now doubles the bikes value [:o)] I am yet to see the bike in the flesh [8D] I purchased this one the same as the'SB6' by description [:X]

Talking to the owner yesterday he tells me there is a price on everything [:0] So fellow freaks the LTD may sell if you call it right [:p] Me,I have no more room but the guy is fastidiuos with originality [8D]

Yeah I remeber drooling over my mates Kats'750's and 1100's in 83-85 when I was stuck on my RG250....great little bike but when the GSXR's came out I would stand in the Suzuki dealers in Perth and construct lies in my mind for the finance documents LOL
