Here's the bike in it's current state - as you can see there's heaps more to do...

And here's the glass racetail and hindle headers ready to go on - need to either get the can modified to fit (pipe on headers is same diameter as the can) or get a different can.

Any tips on the best ways to mount a glass racetail (I'll be modifying the existing seat to try and work at least a section of it in)?

Next thing I have in mind is to get all the wiring hidden and remove redundant mointing points/brackets from the frame.

After that - complete mounting of the tail, figure out the headlight(s) and possibly a custom made radiator shroud (to utilize the old and large side fairing brackets) and start prepping for paint.

Ideally I'd love to strip the frame down and repaint the whole lot (and possibly even the engine block) - but with limited time I think that might have to wait for a second stage rebuild - I'm gagging to get back on 2 wheels!

after a lot of nothing happening on the cbr I'm thinking of just "getting this back on the road" and investing in something a little nicer for a SF project (e.g. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HONDA-CBR1000RR-CBR1000-CBR-1000-RR-05MDL-ADRENALIN_W0QQitemZ320470565655QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ AU_Motorcycles?hash=item4a9d88c317 )

Will be sure to keep you posted on progress - either way I really need to get back onto 2 wheels.... it's been off the road for way too long now!
