Well as the heading suggests i wanna try and get the Acewell dash reading what it is supposed to. example when i am sitting on say 100kms the acewell is showing up that the bike is sitting on around the 9-10k rev range,
also after the clock is set and the bike has been switched off and then back on again the clock resets (accesories?) these are just a couple of small things that i want to sort out first off the list.

Thanks

Matt

Which Acewell unit ?
Have you got the + wire from the battery hooked up ? (ie the constant, not switched off with key)

ok first up mate it sounds like the you dont have the permanent power hooked up and as for the tacho there must be an adjustment on there that tell's ya how many times your ignition shoulld pulse per RPM and i reckon its set to half of what it should be ...........i am not familuar with the acewell units but if having alot of trouble try give Exben a call at extreme creations he will be able to help for sure

Doesn't one of the Acewells cater for 2 rev ranges for those grenades that spin to 20k plus ?

it is the Acewell 3853 unit. i will have to get a copy of a wiring diagram for it i think to beable to determine what wires are what and also to allow me to go through it to find a setting (if it allows me) to adjust the rev range.
the unit turns off completly when when the key is turned off. (i am guessing this is why the clock resets)
Has anyone got a copy of the instuctions for this unit at all that they can PDF and email to me or that they can post up here?

Thanks

My rev reading was too high aswell, saying i was idling at 5 grand. I found out that when you first hook it up there is something to set that changes you rev reading. Like banditrod said, i think it's got something to do with the ignition pulse crap.

On mine i had a setting for 2 cylinder or 4 cylinder bike. That was all I had to change, mind you it's not Acewell, so what do I know?

What ignition system do you have? I had the same problem, but it turned out that the dyna 2000 has two tacho output wires, and I had conected the wrong one

I wired mine straight into the harness so picked up the factory tacho wiring. Intalled a new 8 point junction box and picked up all wiring for neutral, high beam, oil etc. I'm guessing that most pre k zukis are similar so can send diagrams if needed. Also have acewell wiring diags too. Mine is the same model and is functioning perfectly. I think you can download pdf diagrams from acewell site too.
