Does anyone know what bike i can source a set of six pots from that'll be a straight bolt on for 750J front end?

Caliper Swaps

It's been noticed recently that a lot of people want to know what calipers are a straight swap to upgrade their bikes with no problems, and without having to go to the effort of making up a set of adapter plates.

So if your bike is listed in the same section as another bike below, you can change calipers without any worries.

For ease I shall just call the calipers type 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

That's odd. Discs on the earlier GSXR's (mine's a 92 GSXR1100L) have a dish in the disc carrier but busa's and TL's etc have a flat carrier so i would have thought the calipers would be different too.
Maybe all you need is a set of discs and calipers and it's all good.
Luke, think about a master cylinder too mate, i;m not sure a four pot M/C will operate six pot calipers very well.

Hi chaps the dish in the carrier has bugger all to do with it. I have a set of tokico sixpots on my gsxr1100L (dished carriers) and with the original master cylinder that operated the four pots before and i have no problems at all. It works

there are several things to take into account, width of the hub, of set of the disks ( ie dished ) distance between forks, design of calipers and mountings to start with, if it fits and works who cares, just do it

Thanks Alfie! I knew of that page what it still doesn't say what has six pots and what doesn't so i'm still confused. If i change the brakes over i'll be sure to make sure to use the master cyl from the same brakes or one with the same oiston ratio.

only the 750 SRAD the 600 has 4 pots:)

also 94 GSXR750w and onwards have 6 spots. if you check the m/c it will have a size cast into it. it could be 5/8 or 14mm or 16mm or 11/16 or what ever. if you have 4 spots and a 14mm m/c suits them, you should be able to see what size m/c is fitted with the six spots and match it up to see if your m/c will work or not.
