I am after a bike to call my own, mainly after a gsxr (but all models bigger then a 250 will be concidered) I aint biaste really to what i get. apart from the fact that it has to be bigger then 250.
now here is the funny part. i want something that doesnt need ALOT of work for rego even if it comes with a rwc.
once registered then i will start tinkering with it.
cant have a blown motor
can be a repairable writeoff aslong as it isnt crab walking or getting the shakes. (last thing i wanna see is the back wheel rolling beside me)
BTW i dont give a rats about the fairings in the front as long as the rear is still in tact

now here is the Hillarious part
i got about 2000 to spend as i aint looking to get a brand new bike

cheers guys

Maybe not what you are after but I have a Z750 twin that is 2/3 done as a Brat . Easy to fighter. Has good engine , GPZ carb conversion with Dynojet kits , new tyres etc , cut down frame and new battery. Someone sling me $1200 and they can take it off me as I'm flat out doing other bikes at the moment .

I'd be reconsidering Chopaweeza's Z750 mate, at that price that's a bloody good start for your first 'Fighter - it'd be seriously unique & those 750 twins still make plenty of power & torque to keep you happy if you're getting off a 250. GSXRs are like arseholes in the STREETFIGHTER world, think outside the square a bit, don't be a Sheep & you'll have yourself a sweet 'Fighter that won't look the same as all the other Gixers.

There's nothing good about GSXRs (except maybe the engine)
& you can't be picky with less than 2 grand to spend mate.

thanks for the advice turbokat and i will take it under my belt.
But it has worked for me so far being patient and waiting for the right deal to come along. thats how i just went and paid cash for my 2000 model forester after moving to qld qith a $1200 ford laser. nearly 3yrs later here i am and i didnt have to put any money to wards buuying a new car. it was all through buying and selling and getting the right deal and making rediculous offers on cars that no one would even concider.
Not having a shot of being sarcastic, i am just explaining that i have the patients to wait for the right deal to come along

Its just been re-sprayed (black of course) and looks shit hot with fireblabe rims and SA and ZX6 race tail peice and loadz of other stuff. $3200. Its also in the ASF calendar. a big thanks to ej03 for being patient with all my annoying phone calls that i made every time i thought of a new question.
The bike and i made it home with out a hiccup (after stalling it twice in Andrews driveway) funny enough didnt stall it again after that.
