Been a while since I last updated so here goes. Most will remember my old B12 looking like this.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/2c9106c7.jpg
But the taxman kindly gave me back a few quid so I chose not to waste a cent and spend it on a few upgrades for the bike. Started with a new Nitron shock frm Demon Tweaks.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/3df78638.jpg
And some new spanky rotors front and rear.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/aee3d27d.jpg
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/77710e4e.jpg
Also knocked up a new headlight unit from a paintball mask and a pair of HID lamps from Egay.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/b7731b5c.jpg
Scored Rod's swingarm so shunted that in with the new shock.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/0fc628af.jpg
Then fitted a Sprint Race steering damper, drag bars, bar end mirrors, new grips, rearsets and some SS frame inserts.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/118e7324.jpg
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/1156223a.jpg
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/9ff00645.jpg
Ended up looking like this.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/8f4f7dab.jpg

OLD SKOOL BANDIT
12-01-2012, 09:13 AM
The taxman also bought me one of these.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/fdbb9db2.jpg

So I had to see how it would look "Mocked up" so to speak.

http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/7fbb6c86.jpg

THought it looked ok and while I was just standing there, all these bits "Fell off" !!!

http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/49747877.jpg

Leaving me with this.

Had a little more shed time yesterday. Suddenly realised that Supers is only a few weeks away and my ride is still in kit form. Did a bit more on the rear sub frame.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/5a7c5356.jpg
Made up some fillet pieces from 8mm steel and tacked them into place.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/72b8194b.jpg
Then made some infills for the nasty holes left from chopping the old subby off.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/259d8455.jpg
All my own work these bits. Took forever to shape them and kinda took my time on the welding but I rekon Deano has done ok teaching me the finer points. Deano did the TIG on the fillets coz I'm not that confident or competant yet.
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/d9032fef.jpg
Then I knocked up a couple of seat mounts. Again out of 8mm material. (Fat arse proof).
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/3575d19d.jpg
http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/1104d337.jpg
Should be plenty of room under there now for "Other" bits and pieces.
This little beauty turned up as well from Streetfighter Bling in UK. Quite tidy.

Okie dokie. More shed time was had this weekend and great leaps of prgress were made. Relocated the battery box and ran all the wiring. Got a little messed up but as luck would have it, Shano called around and bailed me out. Splashed a bit of black paint to stop rust setting in, made some locking and anchor points and glassed them into the seat unit and Bobs you uncle ! Sorry for the lack of progress pictures but I was rushing. Not seen my girl in nearly a week.http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/got_buckleys/52725d2a.jpg

Last pic looks brutal. The perspective makes it look cartoon like with the front wheel looking massive and the rest of the bike compressed. Looks appocolyptic. Very few projects can pull off that look. A suggestion for shits and giggles, get some cammo netting from Aussie dispossals and cover up the fork legs and swing arm. Survival fighter with class. Flame me for being gay but that thing looks like Arnie letting loose with a gattling gun. Gritty and full of muscle

OK, so there hasn't been much movement on this build thread, mainly coz I'm a lazy twat but also coz there has not been much progress. That said, our good mate at VCM, Big Kev or fluffy gown boy as I am now gonna call him, did me a ripper job on the seat with lots of comfy gel and carbon look goodness
