thats right. need to come up with some spring steel sheet around .5mm thick and only small pieces. i would get change out of a 100mm square. gotta make myself a sort of reed valve.

and don't say try your local bearing company;)

could you grind .5mm off the thickness of a carpenters saw? sorry Im really not helping here. anyway Happy bday for the 9th have a ball your turbo looks fantastic
In the time its taken you to build it Ive fixed the brakes, pumped up a tyre and adjusted the chain on my GS .Gotta lube the chain next and get a rwc. hoping to get there in the next few yea months.

Shim is crap, try a spring manufacturer eg Thomas Marsh http://www.marshsprings.com.au/pages/extension-1.htm They are not local to you but there may be someone similar closer by.

thanks guys. found it at national springs only think is the sheets come in pairs and are 300 odd wide and 2m long.

the guy will check on monday if that have some off cuts for me.
