Guys,

Im trying hard to hide my battery.
now a smaller one would be very handy. at the moment im using an old acid fileld thing that must sit vertical to avoid spillage.

from memory my old VTR1000 had a battery that fit in at an angle (that's helpful but expensive).

so anybody here used any small batteries that can be mounted in any position?

I'm thinking of recessing my tank underneath and hiding it up there.

any tips, helps hints greatly appreciated

Cheers

Ed

Any sealed battery can lie flat.Im using a CTX7( normally to suit a hornet 600) in the Bitza, which lies flat, works fine.

Dont think I know much about batteries, other than....

**** I lay the Standard Jelly Filled Bandit 12 battery on it's side and put it with the tool kit in the tail (Extended the battery leads using car starter-motor preformed leads bolted onto the stock ones)
to make room for the NOS solenoids in the battery box. Battery was fine even after a couple of years when it went back to stock.

and while we're here....

****I think the Honda ST1300 battery fits a Busa but is larger (5mm taller and higher Amp's) and helps with high comp motors and big-bore kits.(but check before you buy one)

good info here guys.

after stuffing about for a couple of hours, I managed to move my std battery up and fwd as much as possible.. painted black it should be barely noticeable.

I had contemplated moving it under the tail but I am still deciding whether to delete the stock tail or not.
