I've just fitted a new front gaurd and gotta (wanna) cut it a bit shorter. The front is no drama, but while i'm shortening the back of it I thought why not cut flames into it!
Trouble is, I can't draw flames for shit!
I think Ryder has got flames cut into the back gaurd? That sort of thing is what i'm looking at doing.
I just need a bit of inspiration (so i'm of to the pub right now. Probably won't help with the flames, but it can't hurt either!)

Find a flame stencil on the internet, get it printed onto A4 paper, then cut it out, then maskingtape up front fender, then mark it out on the front fender on the tape in desired pattern (mix it up ie. crisscross the flames etc.), then cut out the fender, sand the edges, done.

Set your gaurd on fire then when it goes out paint it matt black, that's how i did it...honest. Nah probably easiest way would be chuck a 6 pack to a friendly tattooist/graphic designer/graphiti artist/bored highschool student to sketch up a set of flames in the style ya like on a bit of A4 or tracing paper then do what Stewart said

If you are in Sydney & want a professional job then PM Neo Dutch to do it . He's on holidays from his regular job so he has the time . He does great work at a killer price . I only use him on any of the bikes I build and his work is as good or better than the full time professionals in Sydney . Here is a sample of his work . The ghost flame job he did on Spoke's Road Warrior has to be seen to be believed.

Yeh Gibbo. He does everything free hand.

And with these bits of red bodywork is the Ghost Skulls & Fish Scale sections in the light red sections. Only yesterday I booked in the Z750/2 Brat and the 09' Biker Build Off GSXR Chopper to get done by him. Have no idea what sort of paint job's he's doing on them but I've told him the style & details on both bikes and I'll give him a free hand to paint whatever he likes . I have that much confidence in his work and his artist eye that I can let him have control like that without any worries as to the result . Thats the mark of a true craftsman when you can do that .

I went the skull after all because the voices said to!
Now just gotta get some rattle pack black action happening, and bolt it on. Simple, just like me.
