View Full Version : VTR1000 what to do?

Hi Guys, first post but i've been reading on here for a little while.

I have a VTR1000 and i'm thinking of updating her looks a little.

I don't want to do anything over the top as it's a daily rider but at the same time i don't want it to look shit when i've finished.

I was thinking of perhaps using a ZX10R tail with an R1 front?

Another option maybe to go Italian style? I have an MV Agusta F4 aswell and i love the looks so perhaps an F4 tail + modified F4 nose + F4 Belly pan? Or even an Agusta rear with a modified 749 nose?

Any thoughts?

ditch the fairings and get a custom radiator done up (as per one of the members on the NFR had)
looks fuckloads better IMO

Yeh thanks Fimp, I knew you'd remember me! You gotta get rid of the radiators and get one mounted up front 'cause the side mounted ones look like shit with no fairing over them!
I got photos of mine somewhere so lemme know if you wanna see 'em.

has anyone got any pics of the VTR that was at AFR???
My memory of its a bit vague, but it was a dark colour, airbrushed, white wheels etc

F4 tail + bellypan. No front. Cool headlight. Front mounted radiator. Sweet 1000cc V-twin fighter there.

Nudie if you could send me some pics that would be great.

I think i found the perfect front fairing. I was looking at the pics of that red/silver VTR that is floating around on the next. The front fairing looks very much like a slightly chopped 09 Aprilia RS125. Not sure if that fairing could be modified to fit the VTR nose though as they are a narrow bike.
