Everybody and their dog must have seen this by now,
Devo had a thread when he bought it, and another when
he sold it to me. Will post up anything in future here.

Bought from Devo at a sensible price.
Bike came with LOTS of spares, Manual, gaskets, wheels etc.
The deal was done with the bike unregistered as it was going
NSW to Qld anyway. Devo did a great discription, although I
bought it unseen he listed anything and EVERYTHING I should
have known, bike needed a little work but that was part of the
low price. Great bloke to deal with and have bought stuff from
him since.

Not 100% sure on the spec, both think it has a big bore
as well as some other engine work ?

4-into-1 pipe,
High bars,
cut short rear frame rails, seat, bodywork,
Wire wheels relaced to take 18" rim's,
110/80 on a 2.5" front, 160/60 on a 4.25 rear,
Cut down "low" seat,
Hayabusa front brake master cylinder,
Braided lines,
Fork brace.....etc etc etc...

Bike was going to get stored untill the new year, got lots on,
Work, Travel to UK, smashed a finger, all the usual excuses...
but had a look at it...

Job 1, No speedo cable.
None at any of the shops, so got Springwood Suzuki to pull out
all their old stock. GN250. Same ends, 1" shorter, works fine,
Job done.

Job 2, Weeping fork seal's,
Decided not to do the $15 Ebay ones, got robbed for some
"Genuine Suzuki Parts" Not sure if its worth it, time will tell.
Cleaned up threads in bottom adjusters and nuts, new cir-clips,
new Oil, new seals, went for 20W oil and 190mm air gap.

All back together now and tested, not put any air in them yet,
my pump is a bit savage, will try a couple of psi in the linked
system soon.

I read the title as "Tony's Nitrous GSX1100ET", then spent 5 minutes looking for blue bottles and suspicious lines.

Lovely bike btw.

Cheer's

If your cop's were a little more open minded about it, it would
have happened by now. Not out of the question. I know in the US
they do a "dumpy" bottle and mounts to fit under a Busa seat hump.
Got a few other things im looking into first.

That's a beautiful bike Tony, I was reading through your post & it dawned on me why it looks so good... it's the shortened rear end.
I'm a big fan of shortening the rear on GS, GSX & Kats - check out Livewire's Kat, looks tons better & still plenty of room for a pillion if that's your thing.
*off to the garage to look at GSX bits*

Apols for previous post ... I'm a new member and something weird happened 1st time around ...

Anyhow - love the ET; got questions about the wheels though;
* are they spoked hubs from a Kat, if not what / how were they done ?

Cheers, StuartB

Not 100% sure Mate.
Its how I bought it, and they were on when Devo the last owner
got it too. I know the rims are not Suzuki but not sure what
model the hub's are off. Rims are wider and both 18".
The Suzuki manual lists "wire wheels" but is a bit vague about
which models. Maybe someone on here know's more ?
Or ask on..

There are several wire wheel ET/EX/Kat's about.

NOT mine (i wish!) but another Local Brissy ET.

...and Des (SuzukiFreak) had some nice one's too,
not sure how they were made up though,
maybe he can help ?

Did we get wire wheeled ones in the uk? I seem to remember all big bore suzukis from GS1000 onwards having cast wheels, but I'm probably wrong as usual.

No, same here.
I'd seen a couple of home-brew specials in the UK with wires,
but I cant remember seeing anything in the showrooms either.

I remember racer in the UK talking about AU or NZ spec bikes
as they could use wheels, pipes and cam's and claim "Factory" spec.
