This might seem a bit obvious, but just in case anyone else
out there is as slow learning as I am...........

Took a bit of a calculated guess today and bought these....

GSX1400 Master cylinder clamps.

When you remove the fairing on a Busa or most sports bikes, you lose the mirrors, and there's nowhere to mount them in the standard smooth clamps.

Just tried them on the bike... BINGO! Perfect fit.
Would imagine it would be the same for several other Suzuki's.

yeah, i have done that too
normally fits right in

the worst you might have to do is to drill the holes out a mm or two bigger

gotta love suzuki with all their interchangable parts :D

GSX14 clamps, (Left and Right are the same part number I think)
are perfect fit on the Eye-Abuser.

have a question which you probably cant answer...

what about us poor suckers with cable clutches? does anyone know of a bike that has a setup like that on the clutch but without the hydro clutch?

Just take a wander around you local bike shops.
I think the Naked SV650 has unit with cable Clutch and Mirror mounts,
although some change this to a Kawasaki GPz500 twin item to get an adjustable span lever.

If you only use the back half,
genuine Suzuki parts are cheaper.

what's the distance hole to hole Tony?

Might be handy for the GPz.

:D:D

As a nurse, you should know the hole to hole distance can vary enormously

ZX9 has a bolt on clutch perch, 98-02 (mine's 00). The bolt spacing is slightly wider than Suzuki though.

Also MCS sells these adaptors as well. Most bike shops should be able to get them.

I was after the hole to hole measurements on the mirror mounts, not what Tony mounts :D

And the distance from hole to hole doesn't vary as much as the size of the hole, in my clinical experience.

Sorry to ressurect an old post [xx(], but can someone please tell me the bolt spacing on these parts? Would they bolt straight up to my 1990 GSXR1100 brake and clutch master cylinders?

Thanks
Shane

I "think" (but dont blame me if im wrong)
GSX14 and B-King's with mirror posts and Busa's without,
are all 32mm or Inch and a quarter, centre to centre.
Some lad's are going the other way.
Using Busa one's on BK's and 14's to tidy up when they are using bar end mirrors.

Thanks Tony. I'm guessing the naked model bandit ones might fit as well? Might duck off to the wreckers on Monday and see what they've got available. Ideally, I'd like remote plastic reservoirs plus mirror mounts.

GS500 ones should fit too, although they have a cable clutch

I bought the same ones from Peter Stevens - They Fit a Treat on my viffer, and the Koso Mirrors fit straight on. Happy I bought them =)

Thanks guys [8D]. So if I get myself a pair of Suzuki master cylinders with remote reservoirs, sound like these clamps should fit (hopefully...).
