Looking for a pair of 38/40mm sidedraught carbs, prefer the hard to get 38mm dellorto's but common 40mm weber's will do. Cheap would be nice!

Yeah looked over eBay UK/US/OZ found a few but with the $ tanking not worth buying 2nd hand O/S.
No idea if the solex carbs can be rebuilt/tuned down like the weber/dell's to suit my Z900 that's why I'm after 38mm.Not sure what CC's the zed will end up watching a cheap 1500cc piston/barrel kit atm!

When I was messing with 40mm sidedraught webers,[yep datto rally engines] these guys were pretty good to get jets , venturis ,gaskets etc .
I used a 45mm sidedraught on my 1170 kat-framed dragbike for a while, built a pair of two into one manifolds for the inlet,[still got 'em] and placed the carb in the battery position. Worked a treat, [well I ran 11's,another story.....]except the pumpers in the carbs would squirt every time scutineering rolled the throttle....
I hope they're still.......

Cheers for the offer mate! not sure what way to go yet, new carbs work out cheaper from US but have found out that they could be mexican or chinese copies!!! New webers are spanish made I think and most info reckons original italian versions are still better quality. Starting to think an old skool "Mr Turbo" set up might be less fukn around!!
