It seems there are a few people with gpx streetfighters around here and heres the beginning of mine. I have been especially inspired by Guile's project.

I've just had a new tyre put on, new chain and sprockets as well as a service. This is gonna be a "quick as I can" project, summer is already here and I dont wanna miss any of it.
As such Im leaving the standard tail there, minus the mud guard :D

How it used to look, with custom fairings old gsxr or something.

It'll be a bit of a rat mobile satin/matt black. gonna get the rims polished down the track.
Mates want me to go on the toy run with them so that makes the finish date the 14th [:0]

I didnt have alen key big enough to get the wheel off so I just sprayed it like that.
I taped off what i didnt want to spray, you cant really make out all the masking tape in the photo.

If the paint job doesn't last I'll strip it right back and do it properly in the winter or something.

Yeh the headlights went down, I'll let the pictures do the talking.
There's been some late nights getting it finished but I'm glad I had the deadline otherwise it probably would have taken me forever.
The biggest hassle was that I had to completly restore the tank. It was in a sad state with rust, crap & pinholes.

A rather gifted old friend, John Dodds, made a full set of bodywork for the GPX in checker-plate aluminium (including tank) which is now off the bike and sitting in someone's shed in Sydney. It could be worth tracking down, if you're interested I can see where it is.

Looks like you'll be blinding a few possums with the angle of those lights[:0]

Good work - looks quite neat ;)

Angle of the lights, yeh i know, I just didnt have time to sort them out.
As it was riding from victor harbor I had to fix a water leak in mt compass (25km.)2 new hose clamps fixed that problem.
DiscoDan, Although I have a strong dislike for most things checherplate, It would be really cool to see the design.
