EDIT: Progress, and another change of plans... Ended up putting it back together so I can mock it up and take the angle grinder to it.

blah blah blah... but rebuild it stock/legal to get through the QLD transport WOVR inspection.

Balls to that. WOVR is only to determine that it is not stolen or with a sus history.

How it started...

Half done

Nice.. are you going to use the orignal sub frame or play with something else?

Probably orig, you can flip the bottom rails to change the angles and look of it, and probably get rid of the rear section. There are 2 subframes, the one under the riders seat, and under the pillion seat, just bolted together. Stock for the build now, then I'll play with it and a new tail as soon as it gets passed.

Being a bit lazy, and off my face in Europe for a few weeks has put this thing on the backburner. Not any more. Going to have a crack at AFR Readyness.

2 bouts of angle grinding over a couple of days, and got done what I had planned.

The budget is in tatters.

1. Fuck you, subframe. Seat and subframe have been attacked with the angle grinder and dremel (slightly changing the angle of the seat to sit more flush with the upper subframe rail). The lower rail has been flipped and taped in place as a mock up, will need to be cut and shut.

2. You too, exhaust. Cut at the first weld, now to order a 4-1 collector from the states. Have to put the torque arm on to check for a possible interference with the muffler...

lookin good mate

but from the guys i have ridden with, those kinds of exhaust offer ZERO ground clearance up in the hills
there will be mid-corner sparks a-plenty and it could end in tears :(

Thanks for the exhaust tip fimp. It would have just hit as it was. Pissed off the torque arm as I wanted to anyway and it's all good. More angle grinder/dremel/mockup action over the weekend.

looks awesome, almost the exact plans I had for it once I had it regoed.

I think your only problem will be finding someone to give you a RWC without a rear fender.

Thanks mate.

RWC all depends on who you know :) Got a contingency plan anyway, kept the stock rear plastics so can bolt them on to get through, but it's extremely unlikely I'll need em.
