Welcome Mike,
SSSA into a Blade is unpossible, it just cant be done ... Below is a "photoshop" of what it would most likely look like but i dont think there is anyone with the skills ANYWHERE that could do it... :D;)

I did this conversion the other day on a 929.
It's not a bolt in but not too dificult if you have access to a lathe/machine shop.

Firstly the VFR arm uses a 20mm pivot bolt unlike the CBR's 25mm one.
So you'll need some new spacers.

Also the swingarm needs to be machined off here

I made some new spacers for the motor & side plates

Good day Ben,

I am building a 929 Blade with a SSSA and have admired your work on this site as well as your Extreme Creations site. I wish I lived in Australia. I have been doing my research on what would be necessary to convert the 929 arm to the VFR 800 arm. I came across your response to a thread in which you described and provided photos of the 929 that you did and I have a few questions.
1. How did you arrive at the 4mm and 6mm removal on the VFR arm? I took measurements using the bronze bearing surface on the motor as my reference and indicated off that face to the outside of the countershaft sprocket and found that dimension to be 40mm. How did you translate this to align your countershaft to the driven sprocket and arrive at 4mm on the sprocket side and 6mm on the right side?
2. How did you address the shims and the nut on the right side? Specifically what were the sizes of your shims? The original 929 nut on the right side is a special allen nut while the original nut on the VFR arm is a standard hex locknut. My problem is this locknut leaves no additional room for a socket to tighten the nut. Did you machine out the right side to accommodate a wrench or did you use a different type of fastener?

Thanks for the all the great work you have done. It is a pleasure seeing your unique solutions to the challenges of building a functional, eye catching fighter. I wanted to send this in an email to you but didn't have enough posts to get it to you so I included here.

AJ

Hey Ben,

After looking at some parts fiche I solved the nut problem. What I realized is I have a 2000 swingarm and what I need is a 2002 or newer swingarm bolt and nut to match closer to the CBR unit. The 4mm 6mm issue still remains.
