Hey guys, I know most of you lot don't actually believe in god or what not, but the church I go to recommends everyone has a 72hr pack which contains stuff like food drinking water torch and battery powered radios etc.

Regardless of what you believe, it makes sense as no-one expected Sunday night to happen. Might be worth a thought.

I'm happy to email the list they recommend everyone has if anyone wants it.

They also recommend keeping 3months food storage and basic essentials like TP etc stored as well, in case of a disaster like Cyclone Larry in Innisfail etc.

Just some food for thought.

Our front door came in like the firies had booted it open then sprayed the hallway/kitchen and lounge with a water jet!!
Fuckin eventful i tell ya.
Power was out for about 10 hours.

Never seen fuck all like it.

I was just heading home in the ute when it hit...everything went green ...couldn't even see the end of the bonnet....managed, more by luck than anything, to get into a servo (just round the corner from Hillsy)...was parked under the cover with hail hitting the back window of the ute straight on...
Where I was 5 mins earlier I could see a car and the tyres were only just visible above the water.Watched wheelie bins floating past 'til the water started to cover the forecourt...The rain eased slightly so I headed up to the video shop...it was on higher ground.
Half hour later it had eased enough that the water was subsiding...
Slowly made my way home and then went to check on Sarah and the dogs....
Glad she kicked me out..and I took all me tools etc...the garage was flooded out....Would've have been a lot worst if my stuff was still there....

Yeah, it was pretty scary stuff. We didnt get any broken windows, but it was looking like it for a while and we had to huddle with the kids in the bedroom on the other side of the house to stop them freaking out. A couple of trees down in our street and we only got power back this morning. Worst storm I've ever been in.

Everything on the news show's "The Gap" in Brisnbane's North side.

We were on our way home from Kennilworth,
Guess where we were? On the bikes !

THE GAP !!!

Managed to get behind a building and hang onto the bikes.
Roof's coming off, tree's down, floods, no power,
no streetlights, roads blocked, traffic stopped,
My "Super-Tuff" builders phone died and wont come back on,
I Shit you not !!!...Ask Sasha sometime how she enjoyed it.

No it wasn't all good!!
Try to be a good Christian and next time you're having a pray, ask your Almighty mate upstairs if theirs any chance he could quit the wind and rain and shit and maybe let somewhere like Poland have it??
That's be nice.
