Want to know what to do with the palm sized transponder on a bike.
Cant find a spot on the YZF and i dont think the thing is water proof.
Been pulling it out of back pocket for the last month as i pass under the scanners.

Any ideas?

Leave it in the sleeve pocket or front jeans pocket and it'll work fine mate.

if you use a tankbag in the pocket on that even, they work off radiowaves so its not a drama.

Anywhere you like.

In your pocket, under the seat, at home in the drawer,
Doesnt make any difference.

The bikes plate should be registered with them.
Every time you ride through, "If" it doesnt scan it,
their system needs to read the plate and find you on the system,
then remove the money from your Etoll account.

Its their problem.
If they trace you, you get charged,
If they miss you, you win.
Not your fault it doesnt work...;)

Yep, thats the one Tony. I used the bridge for about 4 months and never had a problem...If your set up on direct debit it will top up auto every time you reach the minimum you set.
Half the time I would forget to put it in my pocket...never got a letter/ticket etc...

The bike only gets parked at work and home,
so no worries about someone stealing it.

I always just sit on the centre dividing line in the etag lanes

the camera only takes pics of the centre of the lanes,

Ive never had to pay and never got a letter/bill/fine for it

Only trouble Des is that stubby holders aren't waterproof....Just tested one...water soakes through.

I've got mine under the pillion seat, and it works fine, and anyway, like Tony said, they should have your plate in the system if it doesn't pick up the pass.
