Its getting there man!
A quick run down on work so far: Lots of poishing including frame, forks, swing arm etc. "I'm getting sick of polishing"
Rear wheel up grade to 5.5 inch with a 180 tyre
Yoshi can
Braided lines
Bar end mirrors
K&N filter
Chain guard and removed hugger to accomodate for larger tyre
and just a few minor mod's including a few brackets here and there, re routing loom re mounting indicators and lights.
My aim is to keep the ass end origional,(to an extent so it still resembles an 88' gixer) but to tidy up the sub frame and get rid of the battery from under the seat. Will change the lights soon and put some risers on the top yoke and probebly go with some drag bars or something similar. Polished the front chain gard tonight and will have the tappet cover done by the time I work out how to upload photos for myself. Thanks again Pizz!

Iv'e seen this thing gettn around ,.. do you still have to have a fuel tanker in tow [V].

Nah serious buck,... glad to see you sorted out the fueling problem :)
On another note,.. the other boys just contacted me for another winton track day so i will let piz know the date and he can pass it on to you.

Thanks Jaffa! fuel problem almost sorted, just gotta get it dyno'd and should be able to fully fix.

Winton track day sounds good, might be able to organise a few city boys to come up to the country for a blast around too. Will try to get the bike home again soon for a ride up in the hills too. Hows the Z going man?

Is it a 750 or 1100? Did you originally have a 4.5" rear on? Was there much involved in changing it to a 5.5" rear? What's the rear off?

Sorry to bombard you with questions I got a 89 7/11 and weighing up options on what to do with the swing arm.

Pappas, the 5.5 bolts straight in where the 4.5 came out, no mods necessary.

Pappas, its a 750 for now. Doing some research on either an 1100 or bandit 1200 conversion, then will hunt around for a decent motor. It originally had a 4.5". AS TurboKat said they bolt strait in, just gotta remove the spacer to make it fit. I think the rim I picked up was off a 91 model. Easy to fit and you will be happy with the results man!

Good stuff!! Thanks guys, I guess the search begins for a 5.5" wheel!! I did the 1100 conversion with mine. It's a straight swap, I used same carbs as original. Getting it dynoed tomorrow, can't wait to finally ride the thing!!

Nice. There is an easy fix for that clutch cable. you attatch the outer cable near the rear engine bracket and adjust the arm to suit and run it down the other side. Still the original streetfighter base as far as I am concerned. Not that I am biased :D
