First there was Harley Streetfighter riders,
now Ducati Streetfighter bike.

I might as well get on the V-TWIN bandwagon,
and call mine a TL1000STREETFIGHTER ;)

Typical Ducati,

Over priced and fragile,
Trying to sell on "image".

....did I mention I broke the last Ducati demo bike they gave me to try...:D

No contest.

Gee the radiator setup on the duke looks vaguely familiar!. I also bet you could have bought Venom for at least 5 grand less than that Duke pretender once it goes on the market. I am guessing at least 25g.

I still dribble into my beer wishing i had the coin to buy it.

I like the headlight, datalogger, frame, wheels and thats it, it would be shweet if they could do an exhaust like Bens bike above, and get rid of those micky mouse mirrors, a more aggressive seat, etc.
I was really hopping for a superduke competitor not a monstor competitor.

Putting mx bars on a duke just makes it easier to push.. the only thing i really like on it is the bottom clamp..

Fear not, they have the DB8 Deliriio on the way. And seeing as thought the DB6R only weighs 170kg wet, it's going to be a fucking ripper!

I saw the new naked Duke at its UK dealer launch , it aint a fookin streetfighter. My bloody arse is more streetfighter than that !!

Take a real close look at the biggest design fuck up for a street bike ? See the oil cooler located where exactly ?
Just in the right place to catch every single bit of road shite, stones, salt, oil, diesel, nails, screws... etc from the front wheel. Smart move ;)

Its a real crap design fault and the faired bike has exactly the same inbuilt fault.

The italian bike fans definately get uppity.
I might add my two cents too just to stir the pot.

Well brand infringement aside I don't mind the look of it and a big bore twin has just got to be fun. I like the look of it as much as I like the street triple, speed triple, zrx1200r and a bunch of other nakeds - its better looking then the B-King, but thats subjective and I'm an odd boy. I'm planning a custom cruiser(-ish no Harleys here) as my next project so goes to show. Horses for courses.

Sorry guys but the Ducati will kill a slabby any day!!! They may have the bike but can they change from a lartte cup to a mug or a cold carton? I think not!!!

The Ducati fighter will ride very well, they will take some beating in the right hands. Most of the Ducati riders I know can't walk the walk as good as they talk......

Don't get me wrong I ride with some very fast Ducati guys that don't give a fuck but they are an exception to the rule.

It looks like a new bread of yuppies fighters are on the way, a bit like Harley, they have two types of owners, biker and yuppie high roller business set rider.

Maybe they will have a yuppie name also like a driveway flighter not quite a fighter!!!

It’s vogue to be a fighter owner, the media have us now, we are a fashion accessory.
Next thing you will see oil dripping jeans shinny as fuck in the shops. (best’s).
That would be funny, they hang them up and it oils out the entire yuppies wardrobe!!!

We are the cleaner’s/fixers of the bike world, picking up the pieces of somebody else’s misfortune most of the time, owner sees his pride and joy as ruined and useless as he looks at his mangled mess. We a see it as, cool a new bike for next to fuck all!!!

Street Triple is the only off the shelf bike that even comes close to the notion of an off the shelf fighter... I mean the whole idea of an off the shelf fighter is like a tailored suit off the rack... the two ideas are more or less mutually exclusive. The name Streetfighetr means customisation..... ergo you cant just buy one new....

Besides someone explain to me the difference between it and a Brutale or a Tuorno ?? they are fucken identical...

155 horses, 165 kilos.

It's not a streetfighter, but it'll be a bucket full of laughs.

The 1098 wheelies in 3rd gear as it is, this thing will be a motherfucker of a ride!

well if it was a topic of if you could have any bike which would you choose then yes i would love a DB7, new Aprilia V4 or 1098. but unfortunately they arent going to fit my budget.

the stock naked 1098 is uninspirational and bland, but like any bike with a combination of genious and cash any bike can look awesome. ie. fz1n, sv1000, speed triple (great bike and the closest to a "driveway fighter" but stock doesnt look great, all have potential just need that touch.

damn that is a beautiful bike the db7
