i have a raptor shift light that im fitting to my bike and works fine when its used piggy backed on the tacho , but take the tacho out of the system and the sift light still turns on but wont indicate , so how do i make it work ?, does the tacho convert the signal ? i dont want the tacho on the bike as it is bulky and looks crap

miniman i have wired it correctly as it works with the tacho in place , there is only a 12v earth and a signal , that go in to the back of the original tacho then i joined in the shift light also 3 wire 12v , earth , and signal wire into the plug on the back and it works diconect the tacho leaving the shift light attached with all sigal and power still goin to the unit but does not shift indicate still turns on though ???? it is a LED unit from raptor performance

after trimming of the unnessesary bits i was left with this and it works a treat still, picked up a water tight box for it today now just to hide it
