Just wanted to know what the regulations are for headlights.

Could i just go to super cheap and find E stamped hella lights and bolt those on as headlights?

Not sure mate, aslong as there is a high nd low beam and they r wired ok, dont think you'll get hassled bout it, but pink slip inspections will prob b an issue.

They must be "E" marked to comply with aus design standards

I've got Hella driving lights (E stickered) on mine and the Blue slip fella and the RTA inspectors didn't even ask me to remove a light to check for an E stamp. I thought that the brand name would be enough and perhaps it was.
