Just wondering if anyone had used these? Are they any good? Are they as good as K&N filters?

Thanks!

Ok, let me rephrase - what is the general consensus on air filters in terms of good brands and ones to avoid?

With looks like those who cares?

Buy em run em with flat slides and have pornographic looking motorcycle.

Simple.

(oh and I made up the bit about flat slides cause I know nothing about carburetion except it makes the fuel and air enter the bike nicely when done right)

From my astute observations, pod filters on a fighter are a must (werd), but only 1 in 10 bikes even with re jetting run perfect with them on. the airbox provides vacummn to the carbs and without the fucker u got no vacummn and how the fuck can u get vacummn carbs to run right without the airbox providing the vacummn ? fuck I said vacummn a lot hey ?. wonder if i spelt it right ?

I got pods on my shitfighter and it runs great .. I do have my own dyno to play with anytime i want .. I drilled the jets 3 or 4 times to get it right, it was soooooo lean that she would have put a leg out of bed if it didnt get a re-jet ..
Put them on they look nice but get it tuned asap .. If you can put it on a dyno as it is and do a run, then air box out(prob carbs off to get the air box out) and put the pods on, then do another run... If you can do that it'll give you a great idea of whats happening, try and do the swap as fast as you can so air temp and humidity dont change too much..

Actually, for the record there are two spellings for Carburetion. The one I used and the one you used.

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-carburetion.htm

There's a link confirming this, and if you google either spelling you'll get results and the option to change to the alternate spelling.

But apart from being able to spell it, I know pretty much next to nothing about how to use needles slides diaphragms etc to make the motor it's attached to go.
