It's mental. I lived in Singleton for 4 and a half years. Everytime I went out for a little ride I found myself in Colo. Dunno why.

fucking media last week, reporting on a rider who crashed and died on putty rd
RIGHT after a story on the motoGP

im not heading out there anytime soon, cops will be all over that road!!!

ps- from my experience (coming home from AFR06 on wooton raceway) a tyre like that has fuck-all side-wall stiffness. did it feel like you were riding on a flat tyre?

Putty Road? Lemme guess, "the cutting" heading north after Howes Valley did that? Fucking nutters, that 16 kms of bends... *shudders*

Hey Merlyn check his profile. He's from Campbelltown so he's a westy, who's obviously slipped up the back through Windsor for a nice little jaunt in the country.

I got a couple of mates at Singo though. Grunt trainers. All there job is, is to make the new boys angry. Teach em how to camp etc. Fun stuff.

I pass through there when I'm running Sydney, but otherwise avoid the joint.

Although I would contemplate a job in the mines down there...

ahah! i see thanks Shadow.

To be honest my family is actually from a small backwater town called Bulga, Singo is just the closest entertainment, if you can call it that. 20 minutes to town, the only interesting things are the giant holes and the big drag line.

Thank christ my mum got out of there when she was 18, I go a little bit nuts in the heat up there.

Working in singleton at the moment. One of the supervisors took us for a squirt up the same road in a rental falcon.....

And my bike is on the otherside of the continent.

At least I know where to find it next time I am on a bike over here.

Is there a motorcycle shop in singleton?

Don't think so. I know there's one half hour up the road in Maitland.

I'll ask Macca tomorrow or Friday when he's back from Bush.

Gotta find out when hes up this way again anyway.

from memory there is a stealership or two in cessnock halfway between maitland and singo, the one in maitland has stuff all roadies but if you are after a dirt squirter they have a few. newy has every brand covered, except most of the acessories staff are fuckwits.

Chris Watson Motorcycles in Cessnock seem to have a good reputation
Maitland Motorcycles have helped me out a few times.
