Hi all Im currently on the hunt for a project bike and have had a offer of a 900 Boldor but i don't know a lot about them. so far a couple of ppl have cringed at the idea but im a little different anyway so that don't matter. All i want to know is are they worth the effort. And a fair price, it is running and needs little for rwc but has quirks
Any thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated

Jockney Rebel had one recently and blew it up. Another member is sticking a GSXR motor in one. The old CB900 wasn't a world better but it was pretty tough. You'll be hard pushed finding bits for it these days though. Jim (JR) may have more to say on the subject.

avoid dogs with rattly engines
dont buy any 750s there worthless
electrics fixable relativly cheaply
running gear unimportant
CR carbs are a MUST have if you want decent power from a 900
1100engines getting rare
classic shape and makes a good fighter if done well
my advice ...run it til the engine blows up and fit a gixer/fireblade lump init then run it again ..lol[wish id kept mine now ]

Love the old rollerdoors and got a few in the shed in various states of disassembly.

I think there are about 5 900s in there and 2 1100s.

Main weakness is the cam chain and tensioning arrangement but keep on top of it and they'll run like clocks for years.

Let me know if you are chasing anything for them and I'll see what I can do.
