ok so this is more i need to weigh up my options.... i am mid way thru building my gixxer but it is still rideable(but is very loud). n i have the use of an xv 750(which i think no one in their right mind should willingly own) n i have a smashed up cbr250 thanks to a socalled mate that had acouple n reversed over it with hes steel tray hilux.... now my question is should i stop the build of the gixxer n put some money into fightering the cbr250rr so i can ride it(all it really needs is gauges, head light, the forks straitened n new front disc breaks) or should i ride the xv around n work on the gixxer...???.

cheers.

I reckon you should be putting your mates money into fixing this machine. Standard rules are you bend it you mend it. He bent it now time to come good. Otherwise just spend $10 on a bottle of brake fluid and pay his hilux a visit. Let him wash his paint off next time he washes his car. (apply thinly so it's not real visible but thick enough to do the job).

Oh and I notice you said XV750 instead of Virago. Nice try. Ride that one mate. Just ensure you have a full face lid or balaclava to keep yourself hidden and cover the shame and dishonour to your family...

Why does your bike need to come off the road mate? What's the big thing you're doing?

see the guy i brought the bike off decied to get a little 4" cut off wheel happy n cut half the duct tail off the slabbie(reckons he didnt like the seat[:o)]). so i have been getting around on it a little dodgyed up.. i aint had the cash or decided on what type of ductail to put on it yet was (was thinking of a 96' cbr 900 ductail cause i could buy a wrecked of acouple of hundred dollars)... it also needs i coat of paint that will do it some justice not just the wet'n'dry then pressure pack approach i did when i thought i wanted to have a a relly dirty gritty looking sleeper[B)][:I].... the only other real big thing holding it back is the can.. see it had the huge ugly looking stocko can on there n when i got the bike back to my place, well lets just say my bro aint to bright with a 4" n cut off wheel.[xx(]. n the so called wicked can he had lined up for it turned out to be what looked like a home made power pipe of a 1970 yamaha 550(i dunno which model)[V]. see there are alot of other things i could do to it but i could do them while riding it(ie frame polished, new leavers, gauges n what nots[8D]). everything that is on the bike atm i got for free so minumal money has been spent so far.i think the most i spent on it is the uni filters. they also look out of place cause they r red... i tried loading up a pic but it reckons the phot to big how do i resize that shit so i can show you guys what i mean?

I have a set of gauges off a CBR250 in the shed you can have cheap . The tacho has broken glass but otherwise it's OK and includes the headlight , electrics for that area & top fairing mount . PM me if you are interested .

That's an RGV tail piece mate, not a slabbie one. Show us the pipe as well. Did you do the wheel conversion as well?

what i ment is he choped up the slabbie ductail n had the RGV ductail there so i slapped it on n wired up some break lights so i could ride it n see if it still had some poke... which it did.. he ended up giving me a alot more for my $800.. but i wont et into that here... i will post a pic of the pipe when the camera off charge.

yeah mate i was told that they are a really good bike to fighter... n well when i only paid $800 n for that cash i got the bike the dctail an xv 1100 v twin n a bucket-o-bolts and n a box full of parts..(guzzi belly pan, mirrors, clutch n beak master cyclinders, the guzzi windscreen and a few other ods n ends) so all n all i got it for a steal cause he was moving house n cleaning out his garage..
