Its a nice day here today, sunny and about 10 deg's so took it out for a bit of a blatt.

Sounds luvly, goes like fuck and with the extra 3 teeth on the sprocket takes off like a fuckin rocket.

Havent had it on the back wheel yet, I'm gonna wait till the weekend when I'm out with Crash and Pork, but it was fuckin temptin though.

Nice sunny day today so I decided to go for a rip. It was a good ride out as it flagged up one or two problems with the bike, ie the gear lever was set just a little too high and made it a bit difficult to change up. That was an easy fix and only took a few minutes when I got home.

The other thing was, without mirrors it was difficult to know 100% if the old bill were anywhere behind me so that needed to be addressed. I got hold of some GSXR mirrors off ebay a while ago and stuck them on when I got home. Now I’m not at all happy with the look of the bike, and to be honest I’m on a bit of a downer over it. I’m thinking I might ditch the fairing after all but all that wiring that has to be moved up front fazes me a bit.

The up shot of the ride out was with the race cans and the extra three teeth on the rear sprocket, it fly’s up to the 160mph’s now a lot quicker than it did before. People told me the acceleration would improve but I would loose it top end. Well it took me by surprise just how quick it shot up to 160mph and I have to admit my bottle twitched a bit and I eased off although it was still pulling. Previously I had 168mph out of the old girl and to be honest I think that’s about it, but that’s enough on the road anyway lol.

So all in all good ride out even though I had to take it easy on the twisty bits while I scrub in my rear tyre, and settle for opening it up on the straight’s for now anyway.

I think if I had someone near me that knew what they were doing with the wiring and said gimmy them side cutters I would get stuck in straight away dumping the fairing.
So first I’m going to have to get it crystal clear in my head what’s to be done, before I commit.

Here you go my good man the week end is upon us and all you need is a soldering iron and a roll of tape

Now , what I did with all the fuses and relays was I cut back the air intakes to the air dox and then I have placed them all in the wish bone at the front of the frame the I have for the time being brought the wires out for the speedo and headlight etc as picture in corigated conduit :D

Dave, did you just shorten the wires by cutting the middle out then soldering the ends back on? Did you need to get longer throtle cables, break lines etc.

Mounting brackets are like rockin horse shit mate, you'll have a job finding one. If you go to Honda it will cost you 90 quid, but perhaps if you ask tomanyprojex nicely he might make you a billet jobby at a reasonable price.

You could always wait for Michal to finish of his billet jobby then go round his work place and nick it, but dont tell him I said so will ya mate.

I fitted the GSXR mirrors yesterday mate, so I can watch my back, but when they were on I was proper fucked off with the whole look of the bike. I dont know if it can be done but I'm thinking of a small camera in the tail and a LED screen behind my clocks.

Got a lot of work and research to do before the fairing comes off Scotty. I have been looking at the German sites for a headlamp mask but they are all around the £300 mark 'fark that' I also need to know if I have to lengthen my throtle cables. And I need to find an after market top yoke that has risers.

Lots to think about mate.

I use to struggle at 140's on my B12 mate lol. The disc would be gr8 m8, perhaps we can do a swap. PM me your address and I'll do you one for the VFR 750, and the R1 if you want it too, no problem matey. :D

Yeah sought of mate just the loom for the headlights , indicators and speedo , BTW some of the speedo wiring you will probably do with out as from memory each connection had a return wire , all of these are a common wire on the acewell set ups , that is what you are using right[?] I did need to get extended braided lines , I really only needed the fronts but I went one for the back aswell
