I have found a lot of ebay stores selling this sort of gear brake discs etc.

I have ordered some gear off a couple. Maybe we should start a list of sellers that have decent gear. I have ordered a digital dash off one guy in Thailand he also sells "brembo" levers cylinders etc.

There is no polite way to put this but I can get stuff more than half the price offered by resellers here in aus. So why not. So a list of trust worthy sellers who offer spares would be handy for those of us looking for a bargain.

trade only.
I do want one of these though http://www.asianconceptthai.com/product_71_1022_EN.html2
They offer laser etching of logos on their parts too.
Maybe something for ASF honchos to look at?

I have no problem with stuff made in China... They have the best machinery and great technology, the problem is western dipshits who have no QC and just want to pump out lots of product fast and cheap .... There are some awesome robotics, biotechnologies, auto and fuck knows what else coming from china in the last few years... T3/T4 turbo's that cost $100AUD that are as good as Garretts, how could you go wrong .. Having said that i myself have NEVER used one thats just what i've seen in a friends car...

have heard that the chinese turbos tend to break the compressor housing in half. they have a what looks like a joinin them as i believe they are machined as halves an then glued together. they need to use a better glue.

I have assembled a few Chinese motorcycles. Virago 250 clones quads etc. Where the jap's would have a nice solid clamp or bracket they will have some dodgy plate. Or in one case weld the bars to bracket. I had the opportunity to get off a new Yammy virago and straight onto a chinese copy and it felt all wrong, levers wobbled bouncy shocks etc etc.

It is either their quality control or their interpretation of quality that is wrong. The quad I worked on was a banshee copy with an old oil cooled xr honda copy engine. They leaked, broke easy and would not turn over. Wiring needed replacing some of the castings where sharp as razors. The hyosungs aren't much better as far as casting.

I am keen to get a few of these thai parts and have a good look at them. The dash I ordered is the same model advertised in local magazines and websites for 500 ish. I paid less than half that delivered. If I can get a decent pair of rear sets for 200 why pay 1200.

If I was putting a m/c from these guys on my bike I would be stripping it first and having a good look at the seals etc.

If anyone wants to hop onto ftp stunts/servin it up aus...and have a look for the thread on these ebay bike bits.... (cant link you sorry at work got to work, yeah yeah hahaha) You will see that the hit MISS ratio is skewed very definatively towards the MISS. lol. I think the thread is under FREMBOS LOL. FAKE BREMBOS.

All of theirs broke, were shoddy.... inferior peices of crap. Not one person out of about 7 had a good experience with them... I would seriousuly consider how much your limbs are worth lol... if its $25 cool.... lol

Just another two cents worth from someone who has seen a lot of buy this shit and a lot of unhappy campers ;)

As for quality from China- you still get what you pay for... The only thing you can really save on in china is labour - its a 10th of what it is here. I deal daily with manufacturing issues in the China and the general philosophy is unless you specify everything to the nth degree they will always make assumptions that can cut costs. You can get some great work out of China - they can be quite innovative in their manufacuturing techniques - but you just have to have a lot of control over the product.

I don't reckon you can trust anything that is that cheap - the surface finish and annodising will be crap and who knows what material they are using - its probably recast scrap aluminium.
