Has there been any news on Ant West's future? Has he got a contract for next year?

All I've heard is that Kawasaki is very close to securing Marco Melandri's signature to run him as a 3rd bike for the rest of this season, then next year it looks likely to be Hopper & Marco.
Westy would be best off talking to Yamaha Germany & getting that Supersport ride back, he killed them on that bike in the 3 races he did on it last year [^]

That all says to me that Westy has great throttle control and is smooth, for wet conditions. What goes wrong for him in the dry? Lack of horse-power?
