01 R1 Front Fork Diameter

Ok kiddies I'm half way through ordering my kit from Stu for the Gixxer build and I need to know the front fork Diameter to order the headlight clamps.

Anyone (Wackrider) happen to have a set handy they can measure up for me please since mine are still in the evil clutches of Australia Post

I'll measure them for you and post a bit later...mine are '98 legs...think they're the same.

Top of leg is 50mm. Goes up to 54mm by the lower yoke.There's about100-150mm @ 50mm then tapers to 54mm.

Aah rightyo then I'll need to call Monday and adjust my order then since I took a punt at 50mm for the clamps when I ordered the mount bracket for the dual headlights. Or have I misunderstood and they are 50mm at the top triple tapering to 54 at the bottom one.
