I got this today off EvilKarl. I bought it to restore (original 85 GSXR 750's must be getting thin on the ground) It is absolutely original right down to the factory exhaust inc fairings. While driving home i was thinking (my Mrs reckons i shouldnt do that) do i restore or modify it? Its going to have to sit in the shed for a couple of months as ive gotta get my Busa back on the road as im not racing it any more and finish my nitrous outlaw dragbike. Any one got any ideas?

Iv seen some guys drop 1100cc engines in em, swap the tail out with somethin off n R1 or late model GSXR, sometimes put a better front end in, ditch the clip ons for flat bars, new headlights that sorta thing! I rekon they look awesome! Maybe u should try somethin like that! :D

tyre pressures are indicating a stunt bike, but that rear looks like it should be entered in a burnout comp.

This might be a sleeper if he didn't have Garrett plastered all over it and 6 inch over swingarm and USD forks;)

yeah a good set of modern conventionals with gold calipers would be a better option

One of the best bikes i ever owned was a red and black '85 750. You could rev the nuts off it, it was as light as fuck and just sheer good fun. I even couriered on it for nine months and sold it for the same amount i bought it for.

All i did was put a really loud muffler on it so every one could hear me. No fairing fucken ace. I have a slabby frame sitting in my shed just for the same reason so i can build another one. AND SOON.

The only problem Disc's. They would warp!!

i don't believe this bike was ever built be be a true sleeper. i posted the pic cause it was relevant to the bike that ozkat brought. at no point did i say that the bike in the pic was a sleeper.

and why would you bother putting in a busa motor really. do you think i would be an easy fit?. so you donate a 11k turbo busa motor to a 1500 buk bike, brace the hell out of the frame and end up with a bike that sure may be different but would probably be out gunned in every regard by the stock turbo busa in Ozkat's shed.

for 11k you will get a kick arse gsxr1100 motor and turbo kit and still have plenty of money left to go to the hookers.
