For the first time in the world two rocket machines were match racing on track together last weekend. Frenchmen Eric Teboul and his brother Bob Feeler made the historic event at the Kunmadaras race track in Hungary last weekend.
On this run Eric set a new `world record' on two wheels of 5.5271 seconds whilst Bob ran a 5.2425. This run was a great success but very dangerous for the bike because the car was quicker and made a big blast from behind. However, Eric controlled this situation very well as you can see on this video.
The incrementals were:
for the rocket car
60 ft : 0.8745
1/8 : 3.2592 at 377,20 km/H
1/4 : 5.2425 at 351,56 km/H
for the rocket bike
60ft : 1.0102
1/8 : 3.7045 at 352,51 km/H
1/4 : 5.5271 at 394,70 km/H
You can see on the video the toppling of the Christmas tree and the water drum from the blast of the car and bike. A great show for the spectators!
