I'm thinking of putting a gsxr '11 into a Bol 'dor

1. Will this offend anyone

2. Does it go against nature

3. Will I be hated

4. Do I need a reason

5. Should I tell my shrink first

6. Can I call it Project 9/11

15-08-2008, 05:37 PM
Do it mate. I have alot more respect for someone who builds a unique project from various combinations of bikes rather than removing fairings and callin it a fighter. You've certainly changed your attitude from "Givin it all away" a few months back.Good to see Rob
Cheers

Go for it bloke.

I've been thinking about puting a Kawa 12R motor into a Katana, and most people say why?

Why fucking not?

More hot rod bikes can only be a good thing I reckon.

In an issue of Back Street Heroes there is a piece on some rally in the UK and in the background there is a Gixxer in a RollaDoor . Actually looks pretty good. Also have seen piccys of a GPZ1000RX in a Rolla , a T160 Trumpy in a Rolla(but that looked crap) and what looked like an FJ in a Rolla(real vaso & a shoe horn job that one). Most looked pretty good.

do it ...my roller expired last yr but i successfully got the old girl to wear sook running gear and it improves the handling/braking no end pretty simple to do too if uv got any questions just ask mate
1. get the frame braced
2. gsx 600/750f front end fits easy [press the old stem out of the roller bottom yolk and weld it into the sook one ] job done
3. see if you can get hold of a cb 1000 big one swing arm itll make ur life easier its got a 3 spoke wheel that almost matches the zook front and ull get a 180tyre in there
4. beg steal or borrow some xjr rear shox

Of course it will,... you cant buy 1 from AUSFR and just bolt it in,but with a bit of encouragement and dedication, almost anything is achievable when it comes to Motorcycle modification.
Larje..i wanna see a 12RKat,impress me and build a 12R-MadAss instead:D

cheers dave i can always count on u to keep me feet on the ground ,cheeky kahnt....lol
being an old dog, to me that bike handled well with the zook gear on it , the original FadeVeryQuick shox made the arse end wobble interestingly that ,coupled with the 30yrold forks that would look skinny on a 250 these days tryin to tie themselves in knots ,the best laxative known to man
,, anyway i thot i deserved a new bike [havent had one in 30yrs ]s why i bought the Triumph ,its different to the usual run of the mill four pot jap stuff and it makes a good base for a fighter and seein as im gonna have it for awhile i can upgrade it slowly

Maybe try the other way and put CB1100R bodywork on a bandit you can still get tanks and tail units at Homebush fiberglass or I believe there is a bloke in Brisbane doing really top qual units.
