Was much easier then I made it out to be. THe biggest bastard was removing the sleeve from the ineer perforated tube. It was welded in about 15 different spots, what a bastard. Timbo ended up grinding it off :D

The rivets sure helped as well mate. Cheers. Pob the only time 'd say this, but sure loks better once I chopped 6" off it :D

and a few bits and pieces here and there (rearsets, a little wiring, crash knobs, new grips/barends/mirrors), but paint is the main thing.

are u sure the heel guards will be thick enough???

wackyrider
21-02-2012, 06:29 PM
lol, they are actually 6mm the current ones, i'll make them all in 5mm though. I reckon that should do.

K6Thou
21-02-2012, 06:48 PM
Nice work mate. Just a question did you model the exhaust hanger with just the two big dusters ? For me it looks a little cluttered ???? with the four of them there..... Feel free to tell me to fuck off ;)

wackyrider
21-02-2012, 07:11 PM
To be honest I thought about it but I reckon this is just a bit different to the heel guards this way

wackyrider
21-02-2012, 07:43 PM
This could be version 2

What do u reckon?

1064

K6Thou
21-02-2012, 08:33 PM
Could you have the two larger dusters less back to back ???? Hard to type what I'm seeing in my head but can you make the left hand side the same as the the right ie the first finger hole of the duster on the left meets the mounting hole like it does on the right.... Putting them at more of a 'V' and not back to back....

Does any of that make sense ???

wackyrider
21-02-2012, 08:57 PM
not back to back but tweaked it a bit more

http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/wackyrider/P1000416.jpg

Following the instructions is quite easy and after going online and inputting the old and new sprocket sizes all you have to do is program it up.

Connect into the wiring loom,

http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/wackyrider/P1000417.jpg

And find where to locate somewhere under the seat

wackyrider
20-11-2012, 10:02 PM
The bike was running rough after NFR due to some bad fuel. Got the carbies off and with the help of Simon stripped them down and got him to put the though his Ultrasonic Cleaner. We noticed some white deposit on one of the jets, probably from calcification due to some water in the fuel....

Carbies were re-assembled and put back in the bike and she's now running much smoother. Sweet!!

292929302931

While the carbies were off I realised that one of the screws of the rubber inlet clamps was missing and along with it the spacer that works as a stopper. Found some swagelock tubing and just drilled it out to suit and than cut a piece off to lenght

Well, bike has been through 2 owners since I sold her. The guy who bought her off me used her as a daily commuter so she was seen a bit in the city. He sold her on recently and I spoke to the new owner. He was loving the bike.

However seems like he was out on the weekend and may have had a little off.
