What's the go with bandit sumps

Apparently here are two different 1200 bandit sumps, one for 97 and the other for 98 and beyond. Does anyone know the difference?

97-00 are the same, however the 1200 came out in the UK/Aus in 96 and not the US.
There may be a difference between 96 & 97 but I doubt it.

Thanks Cc. My question is in regard to headers, I need to buy a bandit sump so I can fit bandit headers to the 1100, don't know what year the headers are so will they suit both sumps?

Should do. My '96 had the same headers as my '03 and very little, if anything, has changed in between.
