Spot the difference ???

How much lock do most of the sports bikes have ?
Have I created a beast here that needs modifying ?

Depends on how slow you'll be riding it and how tight the turns.
File the stop away so that the forks just miss the tank, Sharky. It'll help weaving in traffic and won't hurt anything.

I reckon that most sports bikes don't have a tight lock because of hitting the fairing. Commuter orientated bikes always seem to have more.

Mines shithouse mate but doesn't cause any problems until you are pushing it around. And if your pushing it around who gives a shit anyway?

Trouble is Bear I've only got about 6-8mm until the yokes hit the tank...can't increase steering much unless I 'modify' the front of the tank.
It's something I didn't think about when drawing up yoke designs.

Dont touch it for now, just try riding it first. If its not suitable then fix it.

What the man said.

My Busa is pretty bad with its new stop's, but i've never noticed riding it.
Almost caught me out a couple of times turning it around in carparks / servo's
etc but now I dont even think about it.

Well I filed a bit off the steel stop the frame (easier to build up again with weld if need be)
Now down to 3mm clearance on hard full lock, makes a fair bit of difference...doesn't feel as bad moving around.
