I had my bike in for a full service (valve clearances the lot) about 300kms ago, it has about 45,000k's on it. Since I got it back I feel that there is a high speed vibration in it now (240+)which becomes a little excessive and blurs the vison at 260+. Would a dyno tune be of any help to fix this (I recently put on a Race Fit Growler and a PC111 & K&N filter in a hope to get some more pickup & was going to dyno it anyway). The bike pulls ok but does not feel as crisp as it did before the service. It has new Pilot Power tyres and the forks were serviced at the same time as the engine.

Also I have some Gulf 1 engine oil laying around that I use on the ute, it's a 10w/60 non-fiction modified, high performace synthetic oil, would i be able to use this oil in my bike, they used a 10w/50 synthetic at service.

I'd get the guys that fitted the tyres to check the balance.

The engine should vibrate the same regardless of the speed (as in RPM)

I ran gulf oil in my GSX1170 kat, the engine is now running nitrous, and making 9 sec passes[with someone else in the saddle.....], three years later........oil seems good to me.
Check the front wheel balance for your vibration, I reckon.

It was Gulf oil, of that I'm sure! As for the type, NFI, except to say the oil rating was for turbocharged multivalve petrol/diesel engines, at 10/40.
At the time Autobarn was selling it for 9.99bux for 4ltrs, right in my cheap-arse price range.

I'm thinking the 10w/60 maybe a bit heavy for a bike engine with 45,000ks on it ? I'll look for a 10/40 I think. The Gulf 1 is their top of the line petrol / methanol / supercharged engine oil, it's pretty dear but I get it through work at the right price for a dear oil.
