It is with huge sadness that we have to report the passing of Frank Sheene, aged 96.
Franco, as he was affectionately known, died peacefully at home in Australia last night. He was the legendary tuner/bike building father of two-times 500cc World Champion Barry Sheene and Maggie Smart. Franco was also grandfather to British Superbike rider Scott Smart, Paula Smart, and Freddie and Sidonie Sheene
