Hi - I am planning an overhall of my current GIXER and whilst I can't afford anything too radical, I am thinking paint job, new headlights, pipe and back end.

The tail is looking a bit dated now and whilst I am not looking for a bobbed version, I do want to get a smaller back end.

Has anyone tried fitting a different back end on a K4 and got advice on whats going to be the least agro? If they are all going to be as much as a pain in the arse as the next, I'll go for a single seat R6 or maybe duke end

Cheers

Dave

Dave i have a K4 which i'm
thinking of changing the back end on if i don't sell the bike.
what i was going to do was use the front
of the old subframe and build the rest
on to it to suit the tail i'm going to use.

Yep was regretably selling it but have had a result and now don't have too. If anyone was looking at buying it though then of course I'll def stick with the ad.

Assuming not though then yep for sure I'll flog ye the sub frame if its not needed. Must admit it won't be for a couple of months as I have to track down a new arse end first. I reckon your bang on the money though MC - I'll have to just get the back end of the existing subframe adjusted to suit whatever gets stuck on as a new tail. I'll let you know what happens

How about a Carbon Fibre self supporting tail from a 750 ?

Wouldn't take much to make it fit.

You did say you didn't want to spend $$ but.
