What oil?

What oil do you lot prefer? If you have an oil cooled 1100 or a Z1000, which oil do you put in it and why?
Only asking because it's hard to get a real answer.

Years ago I had an xs1100, rebuilt the motor and ran it on Penrite HPR30 did a lot of hard miles as a courier on it as well as touring then when 2nd gear shat itself and the cases were split the insides were so clean you could eat off 'em!! no bearing wear all perfect. So since then EVERYTHING I own has had a penrite diet, just remember with a big air cooled ridden hard they will use oil so the fresher it is the better. I always dropped mine every 5000 km with a genuine filter.

i use castrol gps 10w50. i think the oil cooled needs 10w40 tho.

it is a semi syn oil and my work has a castrol account so that means i get it cheap.

also i buy a hastings brand filter instead of the k and n filters. they are $7 each, any industrial company that has a baldwin account will be able to help out. we have said account so if you get stuck let me no and i will sort you out

Bugger, just ordered a K&N yesterday (chrome mind you) for $20 along with the pod filters from Rocket ind.
