can anyone help with warning light problem, the engine management light is on all the time, came on the other day & has stayed on, i thought it may be the regulator as its gone before & the light came on, but the batterie has 12.85 volts in it, when the engine starts its then putting in 14.25 volts, when you rev it it still stays at 14.25, when you turn it off the batterie then slowly drops from 13.9 back to 12.85 volts. first question is this normal, if so any ideas on what else would cause the light to come on.

the bike is a buell XB12s fuell injected 03 model

Yeah, the engine management is rejecting the power plant mate :D Time to slot in a Kwaka donk mate ;)

What problem(s) is the light supposed to indicate? failed management unit? oil pressure? Try checking the electrical connections / earths associated with the problem(s)

G'day Pommie - battery and charging sounds normal. Like Chalk says, what is the light for? My work car has a light shaped like a spanner when the car goes over it's service interval (which has to be reset at service time). Could it be this? Due for a service??
