hi peeps,

a mate of mine with a KTM supaduke (SupaPuke as we call it) has very, very easily removed the restritors for 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear.
it was simply pulling out the (wire) sensors & leaving neutral.

so, my question is:
i know most manufacturers do it.

how do i do it to my K4 gsxr 1thou??

i might even put it back to normal gearing if i can do this.

You might be looking for a TRE
(Timing Retard Eliminator)

About $100 as a "plug-in"
About 5c from Dick Smiths if you buy the right resister.

Busa is 6.8ohm and fools the ignition in 1st / 2nd / 6th (removes the 295 limiter) into thinking the bike is ALWAYS in 5th.
Been told about cold start probs but mine is fine.

I posted the "5c DIY mod" link a while back but im sure someone
on here could help you.

did my 03 gixxer 1000, cost about 5 bucks as a switchable setup and have never had any probs, cant remember what ohms resistor we used but same thing as the busa, fools the bike into thinking its in fith

Just pulling the wire probably will give a neutral or clutch in map , my busa had a cut wire when i first brought it , rev limiter cut in ~1000 rpms early and probably had a "safe" fuel and timing mapping . felt faster when the resistor was added.

This is for an Eye-Abuser,
Maybe different wires/resister but others use
the same basic idea,
