Dispite owning 4 liquid cooled vehicles with fuel injection,
I have never been a huge fan of the latest high tech stuff.
I always liked the big Aircooled Bikes, with a pair of coils and 4 big carbs,
or Aircooled 2-stoke twin's or big 4-stroke singles.
My "era" ended with the Katana but the oilcooled GSXR/Bandit was border-line.
I think "Luddite" is the word your looking for...;)
The technology on modern vehicles IS understandable, but sometime just seems
to be over complicated for the sake of it.
.... but sometimes it works in my favour........
Hayabusa spin's over but wont fire. Dash show's "F1"
Go in house. Search on Google.
Back to bike. Find dealer plug under the seat and "short" across it with
a 3" piece of wire from the bin. Dash now show's "C41"
Go in house. Search on Google.
c00 none
c12 crankshaft positions sensor, pickup coil signal, signal generator
c13 intake air pressure sensor #2, for front cylinder
c14 throttle position sensor
c15 engine coolant temp sensor
c17 intake air pressure sensor #1 for rear cylinder
c21 intake air temp sensor
c23 tip over sensor
c24 ignition signal, coil #1 for rear cylinder
c25 ignition signal, coil #2 for front cylinder
c28 secondary throttle valve actuator
c29 secondary throttle valve position sensor
c31 gear position signal switch
c32 injector signal #1 for rear cylinder
c33 injector signal #2 for front cylinder
c41 fuel pump control system, fuel pump, fuel pump relay
c42 ignition switch signal, anti theft
c44 heated oxygen sensor
c49 pair control solenoid valve
Back to bike check fuse. OK.
Pull out relay.
Relay has 2 light and 2 heavy wires...No manual..but not rocket science!
Use the bit of wire from fooling the dealer switch to "jump" the feed in the relay.
Fuel pump run's and bike now starts...:D
Phone 3 Suzuki dealers, none in stock.
Springwood Suzuki get one in overnight.
Result.[8D]
(...and I dont hate technology quite as much)
